Every dollar sends a student closer to departure.

The Next Shift covers 100% of a scholar's costs — flights, lodging, training, and supervision. There's no overhead layer between your gift and a student on the ground.

Donation FAQ

Not yet. The Next Shift is currently completing its 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt application. Donations made before that status is granted are not tax-deductible. We will update this page and email past donors the moment our status changes.
Donations fund scholar travel, lodging, training, and supervision costs, plus the operating costs of getting The Next Shift off the ground. We don't run medical missions ourselves — once a scholar's full trip cost is raised, we cover the expense so they can apply directly to a program run by an established provider such as International Medical Relief (IMR), a separate, independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no formal partnership or sponsorship tie to The Next Shift. That organization's own requirements and application process decide who's accepted; our part is making sure cost is never the obstacle. We'll publish a simple annual accounting of funds raised and spent as soon as we complete our first full year.
If a specific trip is postponed or cancelled, your gift is held for the next scheduled cohort. If you'd prefer a refund instead, contact us directly and we'll process it.
Yes — reach out to us directly and we'll talk through options for directed or named scholarship gifts.
